Holidays in France

We had a good time in France, spending most of it at the sea in Pornichet in Britanny.

Here we're out for a walk in the forest of Escoublac, it was such a beautiful day!

Ella is still a high needs baby...! Here Seb is trying to read his comic book while entertaining her with the newest version of Playmobil Times. As you can see she is very focussed!

A bit of quality cuddle time with granny.

We went to visit some friends of Seb's who have a daughter the same age as Iluka. They took us out on a boat trip which was really nice. Here the girls are tucked in nice and safely with Marie!

My little starlet in front of the salt marshes of Britanny.

And enjoying the sea. Iluka looooves the sea - the water, the beach, the sand. She played there for hours and hours, splashing in the water, digging in the sand.

And Iluka made everyone wear safety bowls. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the three of them when they'd found one for Seb :o)

It was a lovely trip, but it is also good to be home again. The weather here, however, is forecasted to be rain, rain, rain all week. (Did I ever mention that I miss Australia?)

I'm so jealous that Iluka likes the sea so mcuh! Mahalia could do without it completely. She likes digging in the sand when we drag her there, but would rather sit on a couch and read all day long. Grrr. Looks like you had a awesome time. Would like to hear about Ella's high needs, but don't want to force you to complain. Good luck with the rain - us too, now that we're back, looks like a week of November weather.

Well, sometimes I wish Iluka would just sit and read for a while!

And as for Ella, her high needs are mainly about wanting to be held all the time. Also, she has a hard time finding rest and it can take ages to put her to sleep - and then she wakes up really easily. At night she sleeps ok though.

Many I time I have said to myself that this too shall pass. :o)
